Contact form

Who we are

Korbies Labs, an independent web design studio working from the UK and Hungary, decides how the details you send us are used. That makes us the data controller.

You can contact us at hello@kblabs.co.uk.

What we collect, and why

When you use the contact form we collect the details you type in: your name, email address, company, current website (if you give one), the kind of project, timing, budget range (if you choose one) and your message.

We also keep a few technical details that help us run the form and understand where enquiries come from: the page you arrived on, the website or campaign link that brought you here (if any), your browser type, and a one-way coded version of your IP address.

We use these details to reply to your enquiry and to talk with you about a possible project. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: it is reasonable for us to use the details you send us in order to answer you. We do not use them for marketing mailings.

Who handles the details for us

  • Cloudflare hosts this website, runs the Turnstile security check on the form and stores form submissions in a database located in the EU.
  • Microsoft 365 delivers the enquiry to our mailbox.
  • Resend sends you a short confirmation email, and is our backup route for delivering your enquiry to our mailbox. It sends from the EU, but may keep logs of the email in the United States.

We do not sell your details or share them with anyone except the services listed above that help us run this site.

How long we keep them

If an enquiry does not lead to work, we delete it after 24 months. If it does lead to work, we keep the records we need for the project and for our accounts.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the details we hold about you, correct them, or delete them. You can also object to how we use them. Email hello@kblabs.co.uk and we will respond.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. We would be glad to put things right first.

Cookies

The contact form does not set cookies. It uses your browser’s session storage to remember the page and campaign link you arrived from, until you close the tab. The Turnstile check is a necessary security measure that helps us keep out automated spam.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits in aggregate. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, so it does not need your consent.

Our own visit statistics

We keep our own anonymous visit statistics: which pages are opened, what is clicked, how far a page is scrolled, which films are played, and how the contact form is used (never what you type). We also note the approximate place a visit comes from, taken from the network it came through, and the type of device and browser.

This uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device. We do not store your IP address. Each visit gets a code made with a random key that we delete after each day, so we can count unique visits without following you from one day to the next. We use the statistics to improve the site, which is our legitimate interest, and we delete them after 13 months. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we record nothing.
